Oh, Crap in a Can...
Yes indeedy do...She's baaaack.
Crawled out from under the bed on Sunday...we negotiated a truce. Calmer promises to behave...and I promise to finish.
We have two sleeves, a completed front and now this...

I found where I left off...and steadily she grows.
I am working three projects right now. You see Audrey, One is stalled due to my pattern mis-interpretations which are steadily causing me to go cross-eyed, the other is a quicky gift for a new baby...
I also made an ebay purchase...3 skeins of this...

Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Pale Pink
What is this for? The IK Summer Baby Sockies.
Why do I need 3 skeins of it? Well, I also thought a matching hat would be "cute as a button" for the new arrival. My Co-worker had a baby...and this will be my first foray into socks. Thought I'd start small dontcha know.
Any suggestions on which of the sockie styles I should choose? Remember these are my first ever sockies.
So that takes care of two skeins...the other is to be fed to my stash as an offering to tide it over until MD S&W. I am a little nervous for my sister to see my stash...so I got a bag for her to take some of it with her...but then I was torn to think of parting with any of it. Sick!
I just also wanted to say thank you to everyone who complemented me on my Rogue..I am so honored!
Here she is...

Pattern: Rogue by Girl From Auntie
Yarn: Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed (127 Heather)
Needle: Denise US 8
Hood Up!

So pleased to finally be together!

I know I'm a super slow knitter, but really this is the hardest project I have done yet. I think that it made me a better knitter. I have a tendancy to just say "eh, F*ck it" if I make a smallish mistake...but with Rogue I ripped them all out and redid all the little mistakes. Boy, did they add up! I am so thrilled with how Rogue came out. Of course, it's 85 degrees today. Oh well!
Whee! I have been saying the same thing to my pals... "Can you believe I am done?!!"
I love it. LOVE IT!
Just thought I'd share with you some little scenes of spring here at Goddard
Welcome!

Cherry Blossoms

Various Fleur

Just so pretty, I had to share.
Spring is finally here! Enjoy the day.
Well, Duran Duran was awesome. They played a great mix of new and old, I was close enough to check out Andy in his Doc Martens doing the Pete Townsend guitar riffs, Simon almost fell off stage due to a misstep off the platform, John was gorgeous...his hair was perfect as always...Roger spun his sticks and beat those skins...Nick gave Simon the finger for teasing him...and they played all my favorite songs...I screamed, danced, waved, grinned, and swooned. Bottom line, those guys still have it! It was a magical evening...I was sad when it was over. I got a teeshirt for me and for my buddy Tanya...as she was unable to come with me...although I bribed, begged and pleaded... T, you were missed.
Then on Saturday, Lauren and I had a date to dye some skeins!
We used Lambs Pride Bulky and Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool
Here are just a few photogs of our day and the fruits of our labor!
Black Cherry With Both Yarns:
Before

After

Isn't that vibrant? So pretty.
There is no true blue food, but there is blue yarn! Look at that! Lauren and I loved this one the best, I think. Ah, Beautiful Blue!

Before (you can also see beautiful blue soaking...):

After:
This one made us think of sherbet...

Rocket Popsicles! Just in time for the 4th of July!

We had a great time! Kris bbq'd and I got to play with Lolly's puppies! Plus the weather was OPTIMAL! I was very sad to go...especially since my darling Lauren has TiVo and we were watching Crafty Deathmatch... or whatever it's called. Thanks you guys!
Rogue got a little time as well on Saturday evening...I watched Bridget Jones, The Edge of Reason, and got to all those decreases I missed the first go-around! :) Thankfully, I didn't miss any this time. It was a cute movie...and great to knit to.
I got some good knitting time too today, my vogue ribbon tank has grown...you can just make out the arm shaping. I am ready to cast off the center and begin on the neck. Then it's onto the front! Love big needles! YOu can't see the stitches, that's ribbing on the bottom...this pic makes it look big, but really it's small and drapes really nicely.

Well, yesterday was so beautiful... I knit outside!
It was so lovely, just to sit in the sun with the nice cool breeze. I had some relaxing music on, drank a couple beers, and had my knittin'!
Time flies when you are having fun, right?...and I discovered upon coming inside a couple hours later...I am soooo SUNBURNED...hehe...OW!
Have a great day...and don't forget the sunscreen! eeeiyow!
I was waiting around yesterday in the Borders, and I purchased Knits End by our very own Yarn Harlot. I was reading it in line, chuckling to myself. I love this little book...I'll be getting it signed at S&W.
I also got the new Vogue Knitting. I checked out the other mags, but they totally offended my sense for non-boxy knits. I find that I only really buy Knit.1, IK, FCEK, and Vogue these days.
I discovered yesterday that I do not have good work knitting with me...I mean Rogue's hood is a strictly at home knit project...it's just too bulky and I have all these bits that surround me while I'm knitting. Like my row counter, my Magna Board to keep my place on the chart (thanks ei), my ipod, my dpn disguised as a cable needle, and my big project bag. I think it would be too noticable that I wasn't really following along in the meeting. Heehee. I need discreet knits for work.
So I give you...

I also got this to make it with...
Lion Brand Incredible in Copper Penny.
It's what the pattern called for. I lucked out, because they only had 6 skeins left in this color...I needed 5!

Here is what it looks like knit up for the back...I did this little bit at Knit Nite yesterday.

It's another quick knit, brought to you by Big Needles and Return to Flight Meetings (US10s & US15s). I love me a quick knit.
Where to wear? I am going on vacation in late May, I thought it was perfect for a dinner by the caribbean. This ribbon, I really like the way it feels...kinda crunchy.
Well, today I have a short workday. I am going into Virginia for the Duran Duran concert...and I'm ready with my disposable camera...I've been told cameras are outlawed. We'll see...
I have to keep the teenybopper screams to the minimum...I am 30 years old after all!
Inside I will be screaming...(yeah right...I'm screamin!)
Have a great weekend!
Until D day!!
Friday, my friends, Friday.
I have been dancing around the house, work and parking lots listening to my Ipod DD Mix, it's obscene. Did I mention I have great seats? Did I mention that I am thrilled/excited/freaking out? Did I mention I feel like I'm 16, not 30? Did I mention that it's only 3 days away?
Oh, I did?
Well...
Did I mention I am done with my short raglan sweater?
Take a look!
Please pardon the "I'm in the bathroom at work" shot. As I only just weaved in all the ends. See the lengths I go for my knitting? (and yes, I am having a bad hair day a la Stevie Van Zant)

Stop the press...Chez P'Knitz has a FO. Well...wonders never cease. You can't see the raglan decreases, but they are HOT.
Stay Tuned. Rogue's hood has now made it's way on the sticks and is steadily growing...we may have another FO to report soon.
I've shared the gorgeous invites that launched a thousand requests...and for those of you who know me, know I have been stressing over a certain Bridal Tea that was scheduled for this past Saturday...Well, the event has come and gone, all rain and no shine...but I have to say it was a great time!
Here is one snapshot of my beautiful best friend, Kelley, surrounded by friends and family...looking radiant as always.

Just a little over a month until the big event!
Well, I gotta motor...but I will leave you with my sexy hot punk knitting bag.
Duuuude, this bag rocks.
You Sexy Ol Bag, You!
