I think that has been my mantra over the last few months.
Living VIBRANTLY!
Celebrating my Second Annual Thirty First Birthday...
(heh)
I was treated to a fabulous dinner at The Melting Pot. Fondue....YUM!
I got the thing I asked for...a Craft Light!

Which I now can't live without!
What a difference a good light can make!
Speaking of Technicolor...
Pink Twin Rib Socks
Completed Just in time for XMAS!
Mystery Yarn from Stitches East '06
Technicolor Socks
Tess Designer Yarn
Love this Simple p2k1 ribbing for the leg and extended down the heel flap.
Nifty!
oh yes! These are for me!
Here is that Cashmere Toque from Stitches 06 knitted up.
Isn't that pretty?
I really want another one, since this one was nabbed by a certain someone whose need was greater than mine. (bald)
Dear heart that he is...I just gave in.
I was a participant of 2 swaps...
Ms. Melanie sent me a skein of lovely mohair from Rhinebeck.
The name of the colorway is African Dance
It was on the needles the very day I got it. (this is the true color in this pic)
Thank you Melanie...it's gorgeous and wonderful!
Just like you!
Wasting no time, I had knitted up into a pair of longish fingerless mitts...
I've been wearing them since the weather turned cold!
This swap with Susan...Koigu!
Will be my next pair of Socks...for ME!
Thanks again, Susan!
So all these knits...
yet, I still insist that I've still been toiling away on my Central Park Hoodie...(ha!)
I had to re-knit a sleeve due to my ahem, somewhat overzealous sleeve length!
Talk about not paying attention! or maybe vino after a long hard day?
I'm not telling if you won't!
So, sleeve one is now Sleeve 3 and I'm nearing the edge of tolerance for this ever lasting project.
Such a Bonehead.
Of course, I've been toiling away on socks...you know anything to keep me from truly finishing what I need to!
I'm working in earnest now, truly!
And in all probability... will be holding a seaming convocation this weekend to get me up and at 'em for the finish line.
Good thing I'm not "alonging" with all the other hoodie knitters...I'd be feeling really bad!
90% of them are done and I'm not. Wah.
Onto how I've been supporting the crafting community via Paypal.
I have a new love and thy name is Etsy.
Love TipsyKnitter at Etsy.
First..she's tipsy! Hey, make that a double!
Second, she makes cute little bags to tote these darling socks around in.
Fabulous for a little gifty for that special knitter you know!
PLUS - You can use them instead of wrapping paper, huh?
We're all about a GREEN XMas at Chez Pixie this year.
I've been out thrifting with Lauren to obtain pretty napkins, scarves and cloth to wrap gifts in cloth rather than paper
This handy illustration from another Blogger I forget who- but thanks!) Really Inspired me to go greener this XMAS.

I caught the tailend of a beautiful sunset leaving work the other day- and the moon was just rising.
It really was something.
Thought I'd share.
9 more days until Disney!!!!!!!!!!!
Dec14 Departure Date!
Living vibrantly! I love it ;) These are great pictures of you - you look so happy and at peace. I am very happy to see that!
What lovely gifties! and socks! you have been a busy girl.
So glad you had a happy bday, dear ;)

Posted by: Lolly at December 5, 2006 03:43 PMHappy Birthday, sounds like it was a good one!
Posted by: Adam at December 5, 2006 04:10 PMHow many annual celebrations of the thirty-first b-day will there be? :)
I see your man is back in your life, I hope he's helping with the vibrant living.
I love the green wrappings idea, those silk scarves from the thrift store would be great for it. Of course, my contribution to the environment is usually to have no wrapping, but that's because I'm ghetto and am too lazy to wrap things :)
Happy Birthday! :-)
I loved your technicolor knits tour and the beautiful sunset was a nice zingy climax.
Posted by: Janet at December 5, 2006 04:56 PMHappy Birthday! All of the yarn and socks are gorgeous, but nothing tops Pixie!
Posted by: Lauren at December 5, 2006 05:32 PMI love the photo of you and your beau. You do look very happy, must be the right one perhaps. I love the green hat too, gorgeous colors. You must finish your CPH, I want to see how gorgeous that green looks on, which I am sure it will. I cannot believe how quickly you knit your socks too, and they are in such beautiful colors. Will wait for an update on the CPH, so keep knitting.
Posted by: Sue at December 5, 2006 06:15 PMHappy birthday! I agree with Lolly... you look so happy and I'm so happy to see that! You deserve it girl.
Enjoy the upcoming vacation!
Well, what a plethora of fun pics from you. I love the socks, the hat, the "green" bag, ( I made wine bottle bags for my Christmas gifts, yes, with a bottle of good but not expensive wine with my stash of material). Thanks for the link on the beautiful way we can use fabric and go green! Lord, knows I have alot of it around and would feel good to put it to good use.
You look very happy, and glad you got want you wanted for your birthday! Lucky girl!
Have fun at Disney. I love the Tower of Terror!!!
Boy have I missed your smiling face in Bloglandia. And a happy face it is indeed :) You got some great birthday goodies. Happy birthday!
Love the green wrapping idea. I have a bunch of stash fabric I could use. Now if I could only part with it (its another fiber I have a hard time saying goodbye to).

Happy Belated Birthday!! And I didn't know you were going to Disney -- I have one day until Disney, though I won't actually be setting foot in the parks until Friday. We'll just miss each other.

Posted by: sUsAn at December 6, 2006 04:52 PMHot damn! There's a lot going on with you -- all of it good! You look SO HAPPY in the first pic. Relaxed. Happy. Joyful. Same with the pics w/Pixie -- it's great to see things going so well.
Out of jealousy, I'm not even going to comment on the yarn, the light, or the bag.
Posted by: Ann at December 6, 2006 05:08 PMOK, whatever you're doing is working, baby! You look great and have lots of pretty knitted FOs. Then there's super cute Pixie, boyfriend, goodies, lamp, KOIGU...what more can you ask for?
Have a blast at Disney!
Great socks! Great fingerless mitts! I am so lagging behind in my knitting & all of your productivity is giving me knitting guilt.
I'm glad to hear you had a good birthday... give Pixie a big ole hug from me!
Love you!
