Twisting Away...

I've been held captive!

Captivated I should say --- by these Washcloths...
I've knocked out 3 so far...and gave one away to a dear friend. (hi kel)

Washcloth01.JPG
Which will be packaged up with a little surprise inside and arrive before XMAS.
Like this!

Cute!
One day knitting. Two cloths per Sugar and Cream Skein. Not too Shabby!
Flower Power Washcloth Pattern

Central Park Hoodie...
Cables, Cables, Cables...I just can't get enough of them!
I'm so loving this in the Green...Thank you to you all for all the lovely comments about the green...
Green is Beautiful!
Here's the back all finished in the morning light this am...
that is the true green or as close as my nikon can get.
central_04.JPG
Perty!

I've also almost finished the left front. See?
central_05.JPG

I finished a sock and am working on the second...
(Oh the fun, the excitement of the second sock...bleh!)
It's for Pixie, of course...
DSCN0759.JPG
look how small - you'd think I work faster...
but I've been fully diagnosed with Second Sock Syndrome...
Dr's Orders...send tequila, limes and david beckham to get me motivated.

I've treated myself to a new knitting bag...
I've been coveting this specific bag for a long time.
namaste.JPG
As Pixie says...It's HUGEmongous!
namaste2.JPG
It carries a LOT.
namaste3.JPG
At the store, I've already hit at least 5 women on separate occasions standing in line...
oops.
PERSONAL SPACE? This bag helps you reinforce that notion. hehe.
Multiple pockets, little feet and very compartmentalized. I likey!

ahh, time went so fast this year...
The weather is getting cooler, and I'm so ready for fall.
The wools, the hot cocoa, the colors changing...
Fall is my favorite season for knitting.

Which reminds me...

Fall knitting for SOCKTOBERFEST!
What? Already??!!
You mean It's time to drag out the overstuffed duffel bag that currently houses my sock yarn stash?
mmm, hmm!

I love the way you're using the washcloth as wrapping paper! So cute. I have yarn stashed for those, thanks for reminding me!

LOVE the Central park hoodie, too. Guess all the soccer-momming gives you some good knitting time!

I love the bag - even if it is big! Namaste ;)
and the washcloths are super cute and super fast - perfect gift knitting. You are such a sweet friend to pass on knitty gifts!

So, Central Park hoodie is coming along mighty fast - that means you can finish socks for next month's SOCKTOBERFEST, right? ;)

xoxo

I love your new Namaste bag! I have one of their "older" styles and love it. Are you wearing your Somewhat Cowl?

Your Central Park Hoodie looks divine, btw! The green is amazing and I love the flecks.

Washcloths are tooooo cute and GO Pixie!

Oh, I love, love, love that bag. If they made it smaller, that would be exactly what I'd want for a fall purse. I'm getting to the point where I think I should just get a knitting bag for a purse because I hate all the new bags out there except for the knitting ones, *sigh*.

Hi...I love the washcloth.

Posted by: Kelley at September 21, 2006 03:18 PM

wow, the washcloth is awesome, what a great idea! And pixie's playing soccer-go pixie! Love the green sweater too!

Posted by: shoofly at September 21, 2006 03:32 PM

Cute!, Cute & Super-Cute (the latter refers to Pixie!)

The wash cloth is adorable...I've been thinking about trying some myself...

I love Pixie's sock... get going & get that girl another one before her feet get cold!

And, of course, the green is lovely... I bet it looks beautiful against your skin!

Hugs!

The washcloth is cute! what a great idea for gift giving. The green hoodie is also lookin great!

Wow, that bag is really deceiving! It didn't look nearly as big as it is seeing it in that picture without a point of reference. Throw you in there and... HUGEmonogous!

Oh, and have I told you how much I love that green cabled sweater you're working on?

Posted by: Erin at September 21, 2006 07:34 PM

Central Park Hoodie is simply lovely! Love those cables! And I love big bags, too!

Oh, thank goodness you're back! I thought they sent YOU to the moon!

The hoodie is so pretty. And Pixie is getting so big!!!

I heart your banner. Too cute!

This is the second Central Park Hoodie I've seen around and I'm very tempted to add this pattern to the long list of things I want to knit. Love the green you chose. Yum yum!

Posted by: Karma at September 22, 2006 01:26 AM

Man, oh man. I REALLY want that bag!

You're really rolling along on that lovely green cable hoodie. I loooooooove those tweedy flecks in the fabric. They really show up nicely!

So clever how you packaged your little washcloths. I made the same washcloth from Weekend Knitting as a gift for my grandma and am kicking myself in the butt that I didn't think to do the same thing with the soap.

P.S. Bonus: Pixie with her braids and soccer uniform. AWWWWWWWWWWW!

Love the bag and the green cable goodness.
Pixie looks so cute. I love fall knitting too.

LOVE the bag! Want.one.

Dean got your present yesterday and sends his bounciest thanks! Your postcard has a special place on the fridge, too! (It's a little dated, no?) ;)

Love that your knitting bag can double as a dangerous weapon :) I've knit those washcloths and they are very addictive. I'm thinking that I might make some for Christmas gifts this year. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Your knitting is fabulous! I love the cables and the color really makes them pop! Beautiful job!

Posted by: lindar at September 22, 2006 11:02 PM

LOVE the hoodie! Do you use a cable needle or do without? I have been tempted to try it without the cable needle. Thanks for the comment about Vintage Velvet---I too am having second sock syndrome...tequila, beckham...it all sounds good to me.

Posted by: Kathleen at September 23, 2006 12:50 PM

Loving that bag!! Your hoodie looks fantastic! I'm so in love with that green colour. I just picked up some Tahki donegal tweed in a deep red colour sooo yummy. I've started a tweed kal if you want to join us www.tweedingalong.blogspot.com

Are we living parallel lives? Soccer and namaste bags! That's it for me. Supergirl scored FOUR goals today. Even one of those for the other team!! lol

Hi! Thanks for passing on the Brown Sheep yarn to Lauren for Socktoberfest. I won! Woo hoo! I too suffer second sock syndrome, and hope my participation in Socktoberfest will be just what the Doctor ordered!

Posted by: Stacie at September 24, 2006 11:24 AM

Cute washcloths. Love the way you wrapped them. That green CPH is still gorgeous, so jealous of the color of yours. I love the new bag, and at least it stops people from breating down the back of your neck in line. Have a great week.

I love the washcloths, also...and if we send David Beckham I am pretty sure that second sock will NEVER get done, heh.

Whoa, that bag is indeed hugemongous. Looks like it is more than capable of holding all of the "essentials" contained in a lady's purse, as well as a project. Perfect!

Pixie looks ready to kick out some awesome soccer moves. Love her hairstyle in that pic...

Posted by: Jenna at October 1, 2006 10:33 PM

Love the washcloths, those will make perfect Christmas knitting, and then I can put some nice scented soap inside and wrap it all up. Thanks for the inspiration!
