Saturday was our first MD, VA, DC Yarn Swap...
Fidget Ann and I bounced this idea around on email and Saturday it became a reality.
Food, Wine and LOTS OF YARN.
Everybody brought stash and soon we had Mount St. Stash....with overflow!
The Cast of Characters...
Amy, Ann, Chelsea, Erin, Holly, Isel, Jenna, Kel, Lara, Liz, Lauren, Paula, Rosanna, Sarah and Shelley
Happy Faces brought to you by lots of yarn and good knitting.
Mount Saint Stash!
The overflow...that's me in the blue...going gaga and fondling the fabulous fibery goodness.
It's true, knitters can't hide their love for some good fiber!
Sarah's was heading into the homestretch with her Olympic Knitting!
We went crazy for her gorgeous Tubey!
Chelsea and her pattern in the Happy Hooker book from Debbie Stoller!
What a great time.
A special thanks to Ann for hosting us in her lovely home and to all the lovely ladies I got to hang with...
Knitting Blogs seem so personal, but nothing beats spending an evening in person with fabulous gals who get why knitting is such a passion.
Stay Tuned:
I've got a very special shout out to Catalina yarns and a full spread color photo review of their awesome new Urban pattern books...I've got 6 books to give away with some alpaca yarn they so generously sent to me.
Yay yay yay! That was so much fun. I was sooo nervous, you know, because, ahem, I have social issues...but it was AWESOME!
It was great to finally meet you and everybody else.
I hope this was only one of many. Thanks for putting it together. You guys are geniuses!
p.s. my pictures suck. :(
