Climbing Everest

I'm making signifigant headway with my Veste Everest...

I'm so durn proud of it! The cable is simplicity itself...and I'm really enjoying the yarn.

I got the yarn at Stitches this year...I saw Green Mountain Spinnery's sample knit (in creme) and fell in love.

I think it's charcoal with a brown hint...like espresso. mmmm!

I'm using their Alpaca Elegance Greenspun...It's very natural (read: flern), but very pleasant. I'm very happy with their stuff.

I've still got to finish up the sleeve on kalamata and do the collar...but my zipper hasn't arrived yet...I'm taking my time to finish.

All in all, its looking to be a very quiet Thanksgiving.
Which I am thankful for...(hee hee)

Plus, as of this coming Sunday...I'm now IN my 30s.
I, of course, don't want to grow up - I'm a ToysR'Us kid

Cold Weather is upon us here in the Metro DC area...
Here is something to warm your ears for the forecasted snow I'm hearing as of late...I'm starting mine as we speak!

As seen on Craftster.org Read the thread for tips and alterations!
Panta Headband Pattern

I'd love to see what all you creative knitters come up with!
Now on with the stash diving!
A Perfect Quickie Christmas Gift, too!

Happy Thanksgiving...and Happy Knitting!

Such lovely progress on the vest, H. I really think this project is so *you*. I can't wait to see you sporting it around town ;)

The Panta pattern HTML looks so great. Thanks for putting it in that format. This is definitely on my knit list. I need it! My ears are so cold!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Pixie!

Happy Thankgiving, Happy Birthday, and happy vest! It's looking great. I'm not usually a vest wearer, for some crazy reason, but that pattern is *really* appealing to me!

You suck! (Of course, I mean that with LOTS of LOVE!) I just can't believe how quickly this WIP is going for you! I'm lucky to add a couple of inches to the twin rib cuff of my sock!

It does look lovely, though, and I definitely think I will knit it sometime soon.

I'm also really interested in the headband pattern. It would be perfect for cold weather running... enough to keep my ears warm, but without covering my whole head & making me a sweaty mess!

Happy Turkey Day!

Love you

My friend told me about that Panta pattern last week, and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I have some yarns in the stash that might be perfect for it.

Happy thxgiving and happiest of birthdays. Think of all you've accomplished in your years, including raising a beautiful daughter! You should be proud, girl!

My copy of that magazine just finally arrived today! I loved the vest too! Might just have to make one of those too! Yours is looking lovely.

'from bikes to trains to video games it's the biggest selection of toys THERE IS!' lol

Hope you had a great Birthday!

Love the vest, it's on my list with the yarn in the stash, just want to get something off the needles before casting on for it!

The vest is beautiful! I love how the stitches are so even and the pattern so pretty. Love that color, too. Thanks for posting about panta--I may have to knit this in honor of my husband's heritage. Happy Thanksgiving, Heather.

I have once knitted a vest of all with cable pattern. After finished, I am exhausted. I like yours.

Oooh, thanks for the link to the headbandy thing. I think I need one. Maybe it'll get done before winter's over...

Love the progress your vest!! I'm knitting mine in the Rowanspun DK and I finished one repeat before cooking the Thanksgiving feast. I'll get back to it this weekend.
