Ravenclaw...

This is my favorite day of the work week. I try to complete all my *work* projects and just spend the day preparing for next week's activities...

I just sip my coffee...catch up on my knitting pals' blogs and their fluffy yarn adventures...no worries.

Today is no different...except that I am about to out myself as a Harry Potter Fanatic. I've joined the Another Weasley Knitalong. I scoured (I mean, scoured) the internet for the last remaining Rowan Pattern for this knitalong.

I got the out of print pattern! Truly a victory item.

The last one...and I think (according to the lady) a rodent gnawed on it.

I've purchased my yarn. Since I was sorted into Ravenclaw --- yonks ago --- I've decided to use these colors.

This is my fall project. Of course I will be using the H for the letter.
heh.

Here is the progress on Pixie's Birthday Sweater. I've set aside everything else (FBS) to hurry up and finish. I'm still only on the back.

I'd like to thank ya'll for the comments on Mean Green...such a simple and classic pattern. I'm anxiously awaiting her debut in the fall.

That Weasley sweater is going to be the coolest thing in THE WORLD! I can't wait to see it. I love the colors you are using! That Midnight is really nice. (of course you knew I would LOVE the HP stuff--we crazy HP nerds together!)

... and how many times do I have to tell you that I love Pixie's pullover? That is the cutest yarn ;)

Talk to you soon, sweets!

Is it just me? I can't see the picture of Pixie's birthday sweater ... though I can imagine it would be lovely!

The Weasley sweater is going to be great! Be sure to tell Pixie to watch the mail. There's an envelope with her name on it, winging it's way!

Hi! I'm new to your blog and am soooo jealous that you were able to get the last copy of the Rowan pattern!!! I'm still desperately looking for someone to post a good one for those of us who can't seem to land one. I'm also curious about what yarn you'll be using on yours.

See you at the Another Weasley Along 2 (if I ever find a pattern).

Way to be Heather! But I got sorted into Griffindor, so I guess that makes us rivals. It'll still be a cool sweater though.

I got sorted a while back myself. I landed in Gryffindor first sort! I was very pleased. Since we are in different houses, would you care for a quick game of Quidditch?
:)

i am so envious that you managed to get hold of that pattern. and well done on getting a ball of felted tweed in corn. i actually had a ball available to offer you (as a gift of course) if you didn't find one.

love harry potter! love felted tweed! cannot wait to see this sweater knitted up.

I made three of those Weasley sweaters for my nephews who are so in love with HP, it's not even funny. One of them even wanted to be Ron so I got out the graph paper and drew up a big 'R' just for his sweater. Needless to say they loved them.

And how convenient for you that the 'H' is already there!!!

Mean Green looks great!! you are such a speedy knitter now H :) Have fun with the scarf - we still taunt my sister for being sorted into hufflepuff!! ha ha ha!

I scored the pattern, too, but I have yet to purchase the yarn. I suppose this knitalong ought to be a kick in the pants to get me moving on this project. I just need to sign up, buy the yarn, and knit the sweater. . . what could be easier! Hahahahahahaha!

Pixie's B-day sweater is looking fabulous! I can't wait to see her model it. She will be gorgeous in it! Can't wait to see your new sweater once you start it. :-)
