I can't wait for the fall! I love me a finished project.
Other Knitting Progress...
I'm still plugging away at the Flower Basket Shawl...I'm on my first repeat of the 2nd chart.
Pixie's Birthday sweater is coming along famously...This is on US3's so it is taking a little longer than ol mean green...but this Phildar Plaisance yarn...so gorgeous.
Now I can't wait for the change of seasons...all these sweaters to wear!
Rogue, Mean Green, Klaralund...
Make it a great day!
I'm looking to offload a Colinette Vintage Knits Kit. I'm not going to knit it...
It's in the color Terracotta.
It's rather expensive...and untouched.
So if you are interested, check out the listing
Everyday seaters are the best. Some of my all time favorite sweaters to wear are the ones that are classic in shape and comfy to wear with jeans, skirts, or nice pants.
And what's wrong with green? Green is good.
Posted by: Anmiryam at August 16, 2005 10:16 AMOkay, this seals the deal. Now I want one! Love the green, and those wooden buttons are perfecto, H. I absolutely love it! Can't wait to see it in person. I know this lovely FO will get a lot of wear. It is fab!
Lovin' Pixie's sweater too--the yarn is SO pretty. You gonna post a pic?
Talk to you soon, H.
Love,
L
I've been eyeing that sweater for a long time now. I really should knit me one :-) It came out perfect for a cool fall/winter day.
Posted by: Kate at August 16, 2005 11:17 AMFor some reason bloglines didn't tell me you'd posted. Grrr.
Great cardi, the color looks great on you and you can wear it over anything.
The buttons from MJ Trim are gorgeous.
I LOVE how that green looks with your eyes. Green is your color girlfriend :) It is quite classic. Fall will be here before you know it. I've miss ya!

Posted by: Lauren at August 16, 2005 11:31 AMThere's nothing better than an everyday cardigan. That color is great on you, and the big buttons are a nice touch!
Posted by: melanie at August 16, 2005 12:02 PMthat cardi looks sooo comfy and warm - and I absolutely love that green shade, and it looks perfect for you! Wonderful job!
Posted by: karen at August 16, 2005 12:16 PMAre you kidding? Green is Great!!! Of course, this is coming from a girl who is absolutely obsessed with the color green... It looks lovely! I can't wait for fall either!
Posted by: Erin at August 16, 2005 12:23 PMVery nice sweater. Love the name of that color. I don't like green, but with a name like Hemlock, I just might wear it.
:)
I love your mean green!!! Great job! And the sleeves are the perfect length on you too. I hate it when my sleaves are not long enough or the body of the sweater is too short. That's my favorite thing about knitting sweaters. I can customize it to ME! Did you have to change anything or did it knit up as is?
Posted by: Rachel at August 16, 2005 01:23 PMYour sweater looks fabo! The color looks great on you and I love the buttons. Good work ;)
I too am looking forward to the cooler weather. See you tomorrow chickie!
your sweater looks absolutely gorgeous! i am so tempted to make one for myself - but i already have made a cardi out of Peace Fleece and it doesn't really get cold enough in Melbourne to warrant two of them.
Posted by: jacqueline at August 16, 2005 05:25 PMH- The green is great and is definitley your color. Thanks for the charting advice on Eris. I am looking through patternworks right now.
Posted by: Erin at August 16, 2005 06:00 PMYour cardi looks fabulous and it fits you so nicely. Great Job!!! The buttons look super. On the season comment, let's not rush cold weather, though, ok? Just a little more summer would be nice. Hey maybe with cool evenings so you can wear your cardis!
Posted by: Brenda at August 16, 2005 06:45 PMI love Mean Green! I think we picked the right size for mine, now that I've seen your's. It really looks great on you!
I can't wait to see pics of your other WIPs [ahem. hint-hint]...andthe Pixie Pic of the week? Adorable! LilMan loves checking out the photo of his cousin every time I check your blog!

A fantastic job darlin', as per usz.
If it were me, this one would certainly be the most worn sweater any time, anywhere. Nice job.
Posted by: Agnes at August 16, 2005 11:20 PMI hereby nominate you "Most Photogenic Knit Weblogger of All Time, Damnit". (Okay, I'd omit the damnit. It's just envy, you know.) You look so cute in that sweater! It's classic and flattering.
Posted by: Becky at August 17, 2005 03:31 AMIt's beautiful! I love the buttons that you chose. Peace Fleece always looks so nice with natural buttons. That's the kind of sweater that you'll probably wear a lot, and possibly even leave at work so that you always have it ready to wear.
Posted by: Susan at August 17, 2005 08:51 AMJust lovely!! Looks great, you did a wonderful job!!
Posted by: Katiedid at August 17, 2005 10:08 AMWOW! That is a great Cardi!! I'm going to have to make myself one! WOW!
Posted by: Samantha at August 17, 2005 11:12 AMMean Green looks amazing and fits you perfectly! It's a great color for you - and I can really understand not being able to wait for fall to wear that one! Maybe you could just crank up the AC, spray some of that fake snow on the windows, throw some cocoa on the stove and pretend for a while!
Posted by: Kathy at August 17, 2005 12:13 PMThe green looks great on you, I love that sweater - now I want one too - it is after all almost sweater weather
Posted by: ines at August 17, 2005 12:28 PMI love it!! Very cute and the color looks wonderful on you!
Is there some place where it is fall all the time? You know, for the "sweater weather"!
Posted by: Amanda at August 17, 2005 03:45 PMI love it. Everyday sweaters are my favorite - I keep one on the back of my chair at the office for those chilly days and always put one on in the winter evenings at home. The color is great too.
Posted by: Vicki at August 17, 2005 04:15 PMThe green looks fantastic! The fit is spot-on and I love the buttons. (and I'm with you .. ready for fall!)

Mean Green turned out fabulous and I cannot wait to see how that flower basket shawl comes together! Cute hair BTW, I can't decide whether to chop mine or let it grow, isn't that always the dilema...
