"Take note of what you saw here today. The power and the majesty of the launch, of course, but also the competence and the professionalism, the sheer gall, the pluckiness, the grittiness of this team that pulled this program out of the depths of despair 2 1/2 years ago and made it fly,"

NASA Administrator Michael Griffin

WORD! We're a damned fine team!

I have watched (via television) every launch. It never ceases to amaze me.

It would be so cool to watch it launch in person.

At last! How exciting to have it finally happen and to have a successful launch after all your hard work. . . and the bonus knitting time during the day probably doesn't hurt, either!

I woke up and checked the news and was excited that things went well! My local news channel said they saw some debris falling from the launch ... I hope it's nothing serious. Now I am awaiting their coming back!

Jesus, you have a cool job. How awesome! Does Pixie take you to show and tell on a regular basis? :)

Okay, now please - the knitting bag? Where did she come from? I really think that one wants to live at my house.

I am making my girls read this post. You have a cool job, that is for sure. I envy you. I only have one left that might go in this direction, and she is a math wiz. You never know where that could lead......
