Thanks for all the Uber Awesome Comments on Mexico...It was a blast!! I'm loving my tan!
This Memorial Day was all about the LAUNDRY.
I lost count at 8 loads of washed, bleached, folded and put away LAUNDRY.
Oy. I decimated an entire bottle of Tide with a Touch of Downy...(which I love dearly)
But the best thing about LAUNDRY, is the in-between times. Every knitter knows what to do with a spare minute or two....YOU KNIT!

Fiery Bolero in DB Cathay in Black
Purchased from the KnitHappens! Online Store
I really only had about 4 inches done on the middle section, so the arms are a recent addition...All of the MD knitgirls know that with my 3 bad experiences with Debbie Bliss Yarns, I shun her yarns. I think now I will say, I shun her Merino Blends... I really like this Cathay. It's knitting up perfectly, evenly with out a hint of excess Flerf.
No Flerf is a good thing. Good for my knitting zen.
Yes, It's good to be thankful for the little things.
I generally watch TV while I am knitting and/or folding LAUNDRY...this occasion was no different...
I watched The Forsyte Saga...This is a great series. It was over 420 minutes, and I watched it all. That is a lot of LAUNDRY and a lot of knitting!
At this rate...I should be able to distract myself from any more lace repeats on Audrey's neckband!!
Damn, I'm so slick...
your totally reminding me to do the laundry...I forgot to do it this weekend. yikes!
Can't wait to see fiery bolero! and in black, my fave :).
I like that word: flerf. heehee!
Posted by: Moni at May 31, 2005 05:13 PM{{GASP}} BUT DEBBIE BLISS IS THE BOMB!!!!! ooooohhh cashmeriiiinnnnooooooooo :)
Tell me though, how is this Tide with a touch of Downy? Does that mean you don't actually USE DOWNY anymore? I'm so perplexed by the IDEA of it!
All hail the queen of procrastination. I bow down before you *wink* :) I'm one to talk, she who avoids finishing Rogue...

Now that's a lot of laundry. I am obsessive about using fabric softener (and not those crazy sheets either), but haven't tried any of those detergents that include it. Sure would be easier though. And the bolero grows...
Posted by: Vicki at May 31, 2005 10:44 PMDid you finish your VK tank in time for your trip. The one with the Lion Brand yarn? I'd love to see a pic.
Posted by: Neb at May 31, 2005 11:31 PMCan't wait to see the bolero finished (no, I am not putting any pressure...) I love this pattern.
Posted by: francoise at June 1, 2005 04:47 AMLaundry time instead of Lolly time? :) I completely understand! Glad you were able to knit in the downtimes though--you bolero looks awesome. I like that Cathay quite a bit. This bolero will be SO cute on you. Oh yeah, Forsythe Saga--I have that one on my Netflix queue--did you rent it?
Hope to see you soon, H. I miss you! :)
Posted by: Lolly at June 1, 2005 06:56 AMBolero is lookin' great! I l-o-v-e that color!
I'm super-impressed with your laundry accomplishment! I usually end up getting most of it through the washer & dryer... about two thirds of it gets folded, & about half of that actually gets put away. You have inspired me to complete all my laundry this weekend!
Love you!
Posted by: Keowdie at June 1, 2005 09:30 AMEwwww... Laudry is my least favorite. I always just leave it in the basket to be folded until Jason caves and does it (which rarely happens). I am interested in seeing the finished bolero, I was thinking of making myself one.
Posted by: Kate at June 1, 2005 09:55 AMMike's been the head laundry honcho at my house for the past few months, and I am NOT complaining a bit. ;)
I've heard that the DB yarns can be really irritating, but at Bookish Wendy's taste of yarn thingy a few weeks ago, Cathay was definitely a favorite.
Your bolero looks beautiful, btw!
Posted by: elisa at June 1, 2005 11:43 AMYour bolero is looking fantabulous! Can't wait to see it and your cute little self tonight!
