Everyone has made their way around the blogs and seen the photo ops and heard all the stories...
Now it's my turn.
Went to breakfast...and guess who joined us?
Carrieoke!
High Energy Jenny and Anne Marie
The entire table...
Stacy,Cheryl, Sarah,Sarah B,Ei, Donna,Carrie,Jenny,Anne Marie, Me,Kelly
It truly was a total chance encounter! Wow, Good Karma!
I spent the day with my sister, Kelly, Donna and Zira!
We hit the Main Exhibition hall with 3 things in mind.
1) Morehouse Merino Kits O' Fun
2) Chocolate Soap
3) Sock Yarn
We found everything but #2. We made due with the oatmeal mint and the lemon soaps...sigh. Terrible, eh? Thanks to Claudia for her blog's advice on the soap...I would have totally missed out on the lovely scents I did pick up and the ordering form for the chocolate soap at a later date!
After our mini shopping rush, we headed over to get our teeshirts and bags (good thing too - I hear it was slim pickin's later on)
Then a bite to eat before mosing along to the impromptu Harlot Meet and Greet

YH with Zira...(photo from Donna)
YH graciously signed my book...even though I made her pose with the Monkey and sign two books! (photo from Donna)
Donna, Kelly and I got to sit and knit on the grass, meetup again with the Georgia Girls, Mein Uber Beth(Stitches!), Jenna, Nathania, Lara, Sarah B, and the other Sarah... and so many other bloggers I can't take the time to list ...it was really terrific. I saw a lot of other bloggers I read, but I was rockin and rollin with my MD Posse...and for months we've all been looking forward to enjoying this together.
There is something to be said for makin memories with your best pallies...and experiencing with your sister her first Sheep and Wool. It's all good. Nuff Said.

Mein Uber Beth gifted me with a pink chibi...Can you believe it? Thanks, Beth...x/o
The day wouldn't have been complete without Ei and Lauren meeting up with us later...Ei found us at the Tess Booth...completely mezmerized. I must admit...I had been saving myself for that moment all day.
We headed over to the Brooks Farm Crack Booth...I quickly found I happen to be a magnet to large quantities of mohair fuzz floating about in the air...Ah-choo!
I left my compadres to their oohing and ahhing over the crack mohair. I think I could have spun a yard of that stuff with the amount I had plastered to my shirt :) Yes, I'm bitter I didn't get any crack mohair.

After the festival... we all were so happy to sit down, have some drinks and eats... Can you see my burned forehead?
Got to meet Becca...the multi-talented superwoman in an alpaca cape! So great to meet her...Her hair rules!
It was a great time...I was fortunate to sit next to Elisa and wax poetic about how I love her blog (flogic rules). hehehe
That's Kate down at the end...It was so great meeting you, Kate...Stitches East or Bust!
P'Stikz Yarn Haul...
I really did try to hold back...
Morehouse Merino..how I love thy kits
I had more blogger sightings in this booth...and if you didn't get there...it was slim pickins at the end of the day...I know because I went back for more.
Sock yarns with needles...I'm hooked on socks
That's Tess' sock yarn and Drafting Zone Merino
Tess Designer Ribbon yarn...and corresponding Tank Pattern (not shown)...it's gonna be fun winding up this yarn. NOT. (Donna! We're doing this together!)
All in all, I think I showed restraint.
Good Times.
My mom got the ribbon yarn as well and we tried to wind up one hand - not.fun.
I will be at Stitches East... may I have the honor to hang with you Maryland gals?? You were a blast to meet in person, only wish I had more time with you all!
Wow, that ribbon yarn is HOT. Can't wait to see that tank. (remember what FAS Kathy says about winding ribbon yarns on a cardboard flat? It would be much easier than the swift!) Gosh, do you know how bad I wanted to be there for the breakfast and all of the day happenings? I am so glad however, that I was able to meet my girls at the gates and hang out for the evening.
So, Thursday night knit nites resume? I am so excited I might pee my pants! hahaha :)
Did you finish that sock??
Posted by: Lauren at May 11, 2005 10:32 AMyeah!!! I've been checking since saturday DYING to see pics!! You know I was thinking about all the fun you guys were having all weekend! Glad it was happy time and the weather held!
Posted by: Katiedid at May 11, 2005 10:34 AMI've been checking back for pics as well, thanks for letting us see the fun we missed! So many bloggers, it must have been overwhelming. I hope to have as good a time in Rhinebeck...
Posted by: melanie at May 11, 2005 11:10 AMHey Babe - It was so awesome meeting the MD Girls. I had a total blast and we must do more together. I'm not THAT far away! In fact, I'm sitting here doing some fierce planning and calculations to make Stitches a reality. I'll keep you posted.
I'm glad you heart the pink chibi. Maybe we should start a pink chibi club!
Ciao!
It was great to meet you at breakfast! (Although it wasn't exactly possible to "meet" across so many people!)
It's great to see everyone's pictures and memories of S&W - sounds like a fabulous time was had by all!
Posted by: Sarah at May 11, 2005 11:33 AMI wish we had had more time to chat! But since we ARE neighbors and all, now I have even MORE reason to make to one of y'alls knit-togethers. :)
I am so jealous of all the folks who walked away with some of that micro - ribbon... it looked like it would knit up SO beautifully, can't wait to see pics.
Posted by: chelsea at May 11, 2005 11:36 AM*sigh*...man! it looked like you had soo much fun :). I can't believe you guys just ran into Carrioke! wow! you got a nice little haul o'yarn there! I would have been all over that chocolate soap, too.
Posted by: Moni at May 11, 2005 01:07 PMOur little Morehouse Merino rendezvous was supercool! I just felt like such a geek that I spaced on your name. I mean, honestly... Hopefully next time we'll get to spend a little more time together.
Posted by: Nathania at May 11, 2005 01:25 PMP.S. I got some luscious pink ribbon from Tess as well. I'm going to wind it on a ribbon bobbin (the kind they use for curling ribbon) to hopefully keep it under control.
Posted by: Nathania at May 11, 2005 01:27 PMI love that you had the Yarn Hoarlot take a photo with yo' monkey. You are insane, and I mean that in a good way because as you know, I, too, was carrying around a stuffed item.
Anyway, I had such a great time talking with you. You are welcome down south (Georgia, that is...not in my pants) anytime.
PS Send me your single, gainfully employed friend in the mail and I will send you as many moon-pies as ye olde mailtruck will hold ;)
Otherwise...piss off...you'll get twinkies instead!
How fun was this weekend!?!?! And I so bought the same shawl kit, so you and me and Ei can be triplets. Along with the gazillion others that probably bought it. Hee.
We must do this again. soon. Yarn festival, or not.
Posted by: Carrie at May 11, 2005 02:16 PMOh, I'm so jealous of your purchases.
I saw you at the Tess booth. Yes, I was staring at you, hoping you'd recognize me even though you'd never seen me before. Do'h!
Pretty things and great pics of all the bloggers. And a pink chibi to boot. Sorry you didn't get any crack, ahem, mohair. Does it always make you sneeze?
Posted by: Anmiryam at May 11, 2005 04:20 PMI had So MUCH FUN with you this weekend! I am so glad that I braved the whole flying thing to come & hang out with you & the many bloggers we met!
I'm missing you already!
