I came, I saw, I grafted.

I gnashed my teeth, swore, ripped, and re-did. But I did it. Tuesday evening, I went to bed at 3:45 am. Feeling accomplished.

Vini, Vici, Vidi! (I came, I saw, I conquered)

Here is my Rogue Hood. Look at her now, because she is about to be ripped again. Can you believe I forgot to do all the hood decreases????? Which have made her really really big. I noticed this yesterday and looked at the pattern...yep! The decreases were on *another* page, and I apparently just kept on plugging away! DRAT!!! I plan on sitting down tomorrow and redoing the decrease rows I missed.

But, I did think a picture was needed to illustrate my grafting accomplishment.
Alas, I will get the opportunity to re-demonstrate my grafting skills with the needle.

Isn't she so shy.
Well, I will spare her the embarrassment of the skipped decreases and begin the frogging tomorrow. I need to gather my strength.

Good news!
I heard these magic words from Australia
"We have matched your dyelot."
Yes, I have only 2 balls left...you can imagine my panic when I looked into my basket and saw them...lonely.

I scoured the internet and LYS' just hoping some would turn up.

Becuz...There ain't no sleeve love with only 2 balls left. OZEYARN!!!! Australia!!!

So, I ordered the remaining 6 balls left in the world of my dyelot, and they are beginning their crossing to the New World. Let us hope their journey isn't delayed, and they make it from Australia to Maryland with no mishap.

In all this adversity, I still love this knit and can hardly wait to get going on the sleeves. I want to wear her!

In the meantime, I have Banff to comfort me tonight for Knit Nite. I am heading over to Lauren's for some knitting and good company.

If you haven't seen Ei's Rogue Go on over and give her some KnitBlog Love...I love the Cardi Version.

Lookin' good, Skis! Too bad about the decreases, but I'm sure the next time around will go better since you've already had a success!

Love you!

KnitBlog Love...you are too funny!!! Rogue's looking fab!! We all make mistakes...just fix her up & move on. Knitting teaches us patience & preserverence.

I'm not sure what I'm going to bring to knit tonight. I better think of something though.

Can't wait to see you tonight! :-)

i've been delinquent about returning the comment you left on my blog...so here i am! rogue is really coming along - sorry about the hood. :( she'll be beautiful all finished up though.

as for anna karenina, i wish i could tell you i've made meaningful progress on that gargantuan book, but i haven't! i am usually a fast reader and very keen to get going, but it's too darn heavy to take anywhere on a daily basis, and i just haven't had the time lately to knit or read, really. :( but i will definitely let you know once i get further into it!

I'm glad you found the additional yarn. It's looking great and I'm sure it'll get even better on round 2.

Rouge is looking lovely, and good job on the grafting...It sucks that you have to go back and redo, but it will be worth it. The cable work looks really good!

Oh, Heaz. I felt so bad for you having to frog Rogue. I think all of the frogging that I had to do on the sleeves has kept me from finishing mine. It definitely require lots of uninterrupted attention (not something I get around here). It looks so fab that you'll beam when its finally finished :)

You did the grafting!!!! Woo hoo! It's a bummer about the decs, but you know I'm a fan of froggin' if it ain't right the first time. I'll be with you in spirit as you rip and fix.

I dunno. I might go with the giant hood. Mistake or daring design element?

It is lovely, though...

So sad you have to frog the hood, because it's so pretty.

Also, if I may ask, what size are you making and how many jo sharp balls did you have at first (up till now...) I just bought some to use for rogue, and I want to have enough...
