I can see clearly now...

the rain has gone...

Look! I lugged brought Rogue in with me today! Pay no attention to those loosey goosey stitches at the vee neck. I plan to aggressively block those "rogue" stitches, heh. grr.

I have now started on the last 40 odd rows that make up the hood. Then the wonders of grafting...or in an act of sheer desperation I will use the 3 needle bind off...because Jimmy Crack Corn and I don't care! Or I will beg, borrow and plead with my very good fluffy friend to help me with the grafting.

(It's no secret that whack dancin' lady knows her stuff)

Queue Twilight Zone Theme...

Tax Season.
For some a journey into darkness.
For others a motherlode of cash.

Our story begins with a single mother, who upon receiving her tax refund this year, decides to forgo the yearly tradition of purchasing an outrageously expensive purse.
Her decision: To fly her sister in for Maryland Sheep and Wool. This decision will no doubt ring the ginormous bell of Karma and heap blessings upon them both in the form of fiber...
This is the Twilight Zone.

heh. oh boy...I get to see my fab OG 5 in April, and then have my sister come to share in fried twinkies, smelly doe eyed sheep, and ONE Fazillion skeins of yarn with me and my knitty pals!

yeah, can you tell? I am stoked.

(to my BIL Matt, thanks)

How fun! what a great way to spend your income tax refund.

Wow - that is very exciting! I certainly hope to run into you at MD S&W!

Rogue looks beatiful, too. No surprise there, though. ;)

[think Pointer Sisters]

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!
I'm about to lose control & I think I like it!...

I can not WAIT to visit!!!! Matt thinks it's funny that I'm so excited about having a "wild & crazy weekend... knitting with my sister." I am TOTALLY STOKED, though!

Sounds like a good use for tax money! My dad always gets a bunch and buys something big and fun. I used to get tax money, back when I got my butt up and worked. Ahh, taxes.

Much good Karma will be had by both of you :) What an awesome skis you are. I hope that that two of you have a fibery good time!

I'm so sad that I won't be able to go to the Fiber free-for-all. Everyone I know is going this year :( I hope that some good karma comes my way for the sacrifice that I'm making for my kids and all of their classmates that weekend.

Love ya! T

Rogue looks fantastic. You go girl!!! I can't wait until we both wear her together...at the same time. We will be damn proud & let everyone know it!

I'm excited to meet Kelly also. As L said...a party at the FAS. :-)

rogue looks fantastic! you are banging that hood out! take care.

Posted by: froggy at February 23, 2005 06:35 PM

I did a three needle bind off on my rogue hood, and it looks great, just match the stiches up. I frogged the hood about 4 times, cause I wasn't happy with it, I wasn't about to start that process all over while trying to graft.

Oooh, if the 3-needle deal doesn't work, definitely go for the grafting. It's a cinch once you get a hang o' that weaving...

Eat a fried twinkie for me in MD!

I absolutely love how your rogue is turning out :) Honestly, the idea of those cables still intimidate me. Then again, I just taught myself how to cable this past week while working on the Irish Hiking Scarf, so maybe if I give myself 'til the end of the scarf I'll feel more confident ^_^

Rogue looks good. I like that tweedy yarn. It is on my list for the near future. :) Thanks for the kind and encouraging comments on the Clap. I ripped and am trying the decreases again. Doh. Glutton for punishment. We are planning to go to MD as well...see you at the Twinkie stand.
