Little Peeks of Progress

Good Morning!

Last night, on my way home, I stopped off at the Folk Art Studio, and grabbed a pair of really long Brittany Straights (8's) and got a piece of their Almond Bundt Cake! I sat down to knit on Rogue on my new wonderful needles, watched Vanity Fair and ate that cake all up! It was a perfect evening.

I am proud to say that I have successfully divided the front and back on my Rogue...I promised you a nice Popping Picture of her lovely side cable...

so here you go!

I really loved knitting this cable, it broke up the mindless stockinette...and made it go really fast. Much better than when I did that 6 feet or so of the Tasha Cable strap!

If you remember, I took Pixie to paint pottery...and here are our lovely creations...don't they look nice?

1. Total amount of music files on your computer?
I have about 30 songs on my work laptop and about 100 on my Mac at home. I am going to get more since I am getting a IPOD for Valentines! :) woohoo

2. CD you last bought?
I am such a nerd, the last music CDs I bought was Tori Amos, and Electronic (Pet Shop Boys & New Order Collaboration)
I also just bought a 20 cd unabridged set Audio Book "Dune" by Frank Herbert
I love me a good Audio Book

3. Last song you listened to before reading this message?
Some steel guitar music in between the NPR stories.

a.Anything by James Taylor- I have some dammed good memories with ol JT.
b."La Vie En Rose" by Louis Armstrong (I love love love this song...and he does it best)
c.El Diablo from Arcadia (because I am a Duran Duran DORK!!)
d.Wonderwall by Oasis (It makes my heartache, I dunno why...I love it)
e."You are my Sunshine" by Me (it makes my Pixie tear up and she just hugs me so tight after I sing it to her...it's our special song)

That cable does look nice. And what pretty pottery! Mine wouldn't look that nice, but I'm definitely going to have to do that sometime. Great diner story :)

I have done the same fairy, but I did her in acrylics. She's one of a set of three that I made as cake toppers for our wedding cake. One day, I might even take a picture of the ethereal trio, including the frog prince...

Great cable on that Rogue. You're going fast.

Nice job on the pottery as well. Pixie did a super job with all those colors on her piece!

Wow your pixie is a very good painter. She takes after her mom, in looks and art skills!

Rogue looks great. I love the tweedy yarn. That is so on my list to knit. Cute pottery too. I miss doing that with my kids.
