Mediterranean Cruise

Mediterranean Cruise

A Mediterranean cruise differs from those in North America in several key ways, including different approaches to meals, entertainment and expenses. The MSC Splendida is a grand new 3,300-passenger vessel owned by the MSC, a big international company which operates cargo ships as well as one of the most modern fleets of cruise ships.

This ship operates a seven night Mediterranean cruise that starts and ends in Genoa, and does a port stop every day, including Malta and Tunis. Most of the passengers aboard these cruises are not North Americans, yet all of the menus and other printed materials aboard were in English, and the crew and some other passengers all speak English as well. Yet foreign languages are common on the ship as well, and the best advice for North American travelers on these cruises is to relish the differences in language and style.
